Hampton Mechanical offers an accredited 4-year sheet metal apprenticeship program through ABC (Associated Builders and Contractors) and NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research).
What You'll Learn
The NCCER Sheet Metal Program will start teaching you the fundamental basics of the sheet metal industry and construction. In the years that follow the instructors will guide you through the curriculum which introduces Air Distribution, Installation of Ductwork, Sheet Metal Layout, Mechanical Drawings, Duct Fabrication Standards, Field Measurement and Calculations, Principles of Airflow, Insulation, Air Testing and Balancing, Welding and Brazing, Exhaust Systems, and many other classes that will make anyone a comprehensive sheet metal worker. When finished with the program NCCER issues the student an Associates Degree that is recognized nationwide.
